Hyperboles

Circus and skateboarding share the same taste for risk, balance, and movement. In Hyperboles, artists with varied backgrounds combine the two disciplines to create an acrobatic, choreographic language of flights, falls, and glides, carried by percussive music. The piece also asserts women's place in fields still too often reserved for men.

Concept, staging, and choreography: Coline Garcia (choreographic input from Pierre Rigal). A Scom company show, presented at the Grand Théâtre des Quinconces as a co-production with Les Quinconces and L'Espal, Scène nationale du Mans (“Scènes complices”). Recommended for ages 8 and up; running time: 55 minutes.
