On stage

  • Cirque Exalté

Founded in 2009 by Sara Desprez and Angelos Matsakis, based in Le Mans: a circus of energy and cries of freedom (Amants, Foutoir Céleste). State-supported.

  • Compagnie Allégorie

Founded in 2006 in Saint-Nazaire, based in Nantes (Katell Le Brenn and David Coll Povedano): sensitive, intimate circus that is popular and accessible (LOOking fOr, Des nuits pour voir le jOur, (En)vers nos pères).

  • Compagnie Kiaï

Founded in 2013 around the round trampoline: “rebound dance” blending dance, acrobatics, and aerial work (Pulse, Loops).

  • Luc Revert — La Table de Luc

A chef from Le Mans: generous cooking with fresh, local products, in an open kitchen.

  • Corentin Courtien — L'insouciant

A chef devoted to the seasons and to directly sourced products: creative, graphic, textured cooking.

  • Jason et Sharon Le Glatin — Maison de Nipa

A French-Filipino couple: cooking that sits between the Sarthe countryside and the flavors of the Philippine archipelago.

The show

Over one weekend (November 13, 14, and 15, 2026, at 7 PM), three companies and three chefs are invited onto the ring of the Chapiteau to create unique moments together: La Nuit du Cirque, act 2 of Le Plongeoir's season, extends the previous season's “Repas” into three exceptional dinners.

On stage and at the stove alike, artists and chefs have free rein. The circus performers create a brand-new piece; the chefs devise menus that echo the companies' worlds, origins, or apparatuses. Le Plongeoir puts the pairings together and keeps the surprise of how circus and gastronomy go together for the night itself. One set menu, revealed on site; for a special diet (vegetarian, allergies, intolerances), let Le Plongeoir know when you book.

The chefs: Luc Revert (La Table de Luc, Le Mans), Corentin Courtien (L'insouciant, Le Mans), Jason and Sharon Le Glatin (Maison de Nipa, Fillé-sur-Sarthe). The companies: Cirque Exalté (based in Le Mans), Compagnie Allégorie (Nantes), and Compagnie Kiaï (Châlons-en-Champagne).
