More about Vertical Art Le Mans
Vertical Art Le Mans is the first 100% bouldering climbing gym in the Sarthe, with 1,700 m² devoted to climbing. Holds and volumes come from all over the world to set routes that are renewed every month, suitable for beginners as well as experienced climbers, with an area for children as young as 4 and a Güllich wall for advanced levels. Group classes and workshops are led by state-certified instructors.
Beyond the wall, the gym is meant to be a real community space: a weight room, a sauna, a shop for climbing gear and clothing, and a restaurant with an urban-zen design extended by a 100 m² tree-lined terrace. People come for a training session, but also for an after-work get-together with colleagues or an evening out with friends and family.
A bit of history
Vertical Art Le Mans is the 8th gym in the Vertical Art franchise network, a group specializing in bouldering gyms in France. The local project first opened in spring 2021, before the official inauguration on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
The gym celebrated its first anniversary on June 9, 2022, a sign of a successful start that exceeded the expectations of the local climbing community. It is part of Vertical Art's national expansion strategy, which continued opening gyms in the following years (5 new gyms in 2024, with a goal of 20 open gyms by 2025).
