Gaëtan Petit in Ainsi va la vie

“Gaëtan doesn’t like being called a guy from the North. He’s a guy from Pas-de-Calais.” That’s the point he insists on as Gaëtan Petit opens “Ainsi va la vie,” a show built on self-deprecation and regional stereotypes, with no moral lessons or political speeches. The comedian prefers, he says, to “laugh at everything, especially at himself.”

From Fouquières-lès-Lens, Gaëtan Petit tells in his show about his path, his mining-town hometown, his childhood friends, and his former job as a supervisor at the Picasso high school in Avion. On social media, where he has more than 50,000 followers, he became known for playing a father a bit too passionate about Racing Club de Lens, caught in family situations inspired by the club’s news. He has won both the jury and audience prizes at the Lambres-lez-Douai comedy festival.

Co-written and directed with Florian Lex, “Ainsi va la vie” mixes anecdotes, music, and scenes from everyday life with a simple promise: “Come on, we won’t think about anything for a while, we’ll just laugh. No headaches or controversial topics.”

Running 1h15, this all-ages show is performed on December 18, 2026, at the Comédie Le Mans, 37 rue Nationale, and holds a 10/10 rating on billetreduc (171 reviews). A resolutely feel-good evening, from a comedian whose tour is already booked through 2027.
