Lala Sagna in La grande classe

Lala Sagna leads a double life: a comedian on stage and a schoolteacher in everyday life. Her writing is fed by this closeness to the world of teaching, tinged with biting irony and a great capacity for self-deprecation. She took her first steps in stand-up at the Paname Art Café before developing her own show.

With “La grande classe,” she shares her misadventures as a “teacher by day, stand-up comedian by night,” evoking a return to childhood through deliciously irritating anecdotes about school life. Far from stopping at anecdote, the show also offers a sharp, critical reflection on education, questioning stereotypes tied to skin color and dispelling certain prejudices drawn from her professional experience.

Through lively sketches and sharp punchlines, Lala Sagna describes the realities of her former job with disarming candor, somewhere between nostalgia for the schoolyard and a clear-eyed view of the flaws in the French education system.

The show, praised with a 10/10 rating on billetreduc.com (50 reviews), stops at the Comédie Le Mans on November 27, 2026 at 9 PM, after notable runs in Paris, Lille, Bordeaux, and Toulon.
