Baby Berserk + shortstraw. + oda.

Le Scarron hosts a resolutely international, socially engaged evening as part of “Les Femmes s'en Mêlent #27,” a traveling festival that has supported artists from alternative music scenes who identify as women since 1997. Headlining is Baby Berserk, from Amsterdam, blending post-punk, house, and '90s pop in an aesthetic inspired by designer Vivienne Westwood, for concerts described as “festive, explosive, and sometimes unpredictable.” Opening the second slot is shortstraw., a fully self-produced punk-rap artist from Coventry who has already opened for The Libertines and STONE, drawing energy from British punk and grime. The evening opens with oda., a duo that pairs acoustic melodies and synthesizers around the “magnetic” voice of Anna Bozovic and arrangements by guitarist Théo Noël-Apperry, somewhere between indie pop and folk. See you Thursday, November 12 at 7:30 PM; standing general admission for an evening organized by Superforma that showcases the diversity of today's music scenes led by women artists.
