Funky Soul Family

The Forum at the Centre des Expositions du Mans hosts Funky Soul Family on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 8:30 PM: a musical show paying tribute to the great Black American music of the 1960s and 1970s.

The group of musicians assembled for the occasion comes from the show Gospel for 100 Voices. Onstage they perform the songs that shaped the history of soul and funk: Jimmy Cliff, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Ella Fitzgerald, Jocelyn Brown and Kool & the Gang make up the evening's repertoire. Funk and soul answer each other with contagious energy, carried by powerful voices, for a performance the organizers describe as dynamic and mesmerizing.

The show is presented as a unique, unforgettable musical experience, full of emotion and raw energy, designed to rediscover the breath of those great Black American voices that shaped decades of popular music.
